A 56-year-old man from Menifee, identified as Michael McClellan, died on December 7, 2025, following an incident on Jefferson Avenue in Temecula. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office – Southwest is leading the investigation.
Authorities reported that both the injury and death occurred at approximately 6:59 p.m. and 7:07 p.m., respectively, on the roadway about 616 feet south of Via Montezuma. The coroner’s office has notified McClellan’s next of kin.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office has been designated as the primary agency investigating the circumstances surrounding McClellan’s death. Officials advise that all inquiries regarding the case be directed to the investigating agency.
