Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells has recently announced the appointment of Ajit Acharya as its new General Manager. This addition to the leadership team comes as the resort continues to expand its executive lineup with industry veterans.
Acharya, a seasoned hospitality professional with over 20 years of management experience at luxury properties, joins Miramonte Resort & Spa following his role as Club Manager at the esteemed Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California. His focus at the resort will be on enhancing the leadership and operations team, overseeing a forthcoming $9 million room refresh project, and aligning the property with the recent upgrades in common areas, patio, pool, dining, and lounge spaces.
April Shute, Vice President & Area Managing Director for CoralTree Hospitality, expressed confidence in Acharya’s abilities, stating, “Ajit’s extensive expertise in management, hiring, training and coaching will be invaluable to our property as we continue to evolve our amenities and experiences.” Shute further emphasized Acharya’s track record in operations and construction, highlighting his talent for developing emerging talents into leaders.
Acharya brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at renowned luxury properties such as The Waterfront Beach Resort, Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino, La Costa Resort and Spa, La Quinta Resort and Club, and The Broadmoor Hotel and Resort. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management from the University of Denver.
