Motorcyclist dies after collision on Murrieta Road in Perris

Deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Perris Station responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle on September 16, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Murrieta Road, south of Orange Avenue in Perris. Upon arrival, deputies found the motorcyclist unresponsive and began lifesaving efforts until paramedics arrived.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital but died from injuries sustained in the crash. According to preliminary findings by the Perris Station Reconstruction Team, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Murrieta Road from Orange Avenue when control was lost and the motorcycle collided with a light pole. Investigators stated that drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in this incident.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased pending further investigation and notification of next of kin. A temporary closure of Murrieta Road between Orange Avenue and Anthirium Avenue was implemented while evidence was collected at the scene.
