Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs (ONE-PS) will host the return of the second annual ONE-PS Lip Sync Battle, produced by comedian and Palm Springs resident Shann Carr. The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 7 at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, located at 2300 E. Baristo Road.

This year’s theme, “Better Together,” highlights new contestant teams representing various community organizations in Palm Springs. Last year’s winner, Palm Springs Unified School District, will defend its title against teams from Brothers of the Desert, The Center, The Coachella Valley History Museum, College of the Desert, The LGBTQ+ Archives, the Transgender Health and Wellness Center, Palm Springs Animal Shelter, the Palm Springs Public Library, the Palm Springs Police Department, and staff from Palm Springs City Hall.

Most contestants from last year’s competition are serving as judges this time around and have also been coaching participants.

“Each year, the competition brings together some of the hardest-working community members in the valley, all in the name of fun!” said Carr. “If you missed it last time, you heard about it because the good-spirited competition between valley organizations creates a lighthearted whimsy that is contagious.”

Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein commented on the growing anticipation for this year’s event: “After the success of last year’s event, excitement is building as locals eagerly anticipate another unforgettable showdown of talent and entertainment. Join ONE-PS for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and unforgettable performances. Everyone is invited!”
