The Gents Alliance Program, under the umbrella of OneFuture Coachella Valley, has announced that its 2024 Male Student Leadership Conference is set to take place this month. The organization is encouraging high school and college educators to prepare their students for participation.

A post by the program on platform X reveals that the conference will be conducted on February 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) Palm Desert Campus.

The official website of the 2024 Male Student Leadership Conference informs that this half-day event aims to assist male students in realizing their potential. The conference agenda includes leadership workshops, a resource fair, a car show, and over $1,000 worth of giveaways and drawings.

Further details from the conference website indicate that the day will commence with breakfast, followed by opening remarks and a presentation by a keynote speaker. Subsequent sessions will align with the event’s theme: “Unlock Your Potential.” Post a lunch catered by Panda Express, the conference will wrap up with a car show, closing remarks, and prize drawings.

The Priscilla and Charles Porter Charitable Trust, BIGHORN Cares, CSUSB Palm Desert Campus, and Panda Express are listed as sponsors of the conference on its official website.

According to information available on OneFuture Coachella Valley’s Gents Alliance Program’s website, this initiative was established in 2015 with an aim to enhance college access and completion rates among men in Coachella Valley. Currently, there are Gents Alliance Clubs at 12 local high schools and at College of the Desert. Launched in 2022, The Gents Alliance Program at College of Desert provides an array of services to male students such as counseling, advising and mentoring; financial aid and scholarships; workshops; along with internship and employment opportunities.
