Palm Desert deputies arrest suspect for burglary and multiple violations

On December 3, 2025, deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a reported burglary in progress at a business on Ramon Road in Thousand Palms. Authorities arrived at the scene and apprehended a suspect without incident.

The Robbery Burglary Suppression Team from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station took over the investigation. The suspect was identified as Pedro Rueda, a 47-year-old resident of Cathedral City. According to officials, Rueda was arrested for burglary and found to be in possession of narcotics and a loaded firearm. He was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center on charges related to burglary, weapons violations, and narcotics violations.
