Deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of residential burglary at a new housing development on Warhol Lane in Palm Desert on August 20, 2025. Upon arrival, they found that one of the model homes had been burglarized. The Robbery and Burglary Suppression Team took over the investigation and identified Manuel Herrera, 49, of Hemet as a suspect.

On October 3, 2025, deputies from the Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team located a vehicle matching the description associated with Herrera at another new home development on Becker Street in Palm Desert. During their check, deputies detained two individuals: Herrera and Grace Pollard, 26, of Banning. Deputies discovered multiple residential electrical circuit breakers in their possession and confirmed these items were stolen from the housing development.

Both Herrera and Pollard were transported and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center. They face several charges including residential burglary, grand theft, committing theft with prior convictions, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
