The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is set to resume operations on Saturday, August 16, following a temporary closure. The first tram will depart at 8:00 a.m., with the last trip up scheduled for 9:00 p.m. and the final descent at 10:30 p.m. Tram cars are expected to leave at least every half hour.

“We wish to extend our thanks to Tram patrons for their patience during this unexpected shutdown,” said Tramway General Manager Nancy Nichols. “Our Tramway Systems team worked tirelessly to isolate then replace the malfunctioning part. We are now eager to welcome guests back to the Tramway and the Mt. San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness.”

The reopening follows efforts by technical staff who identified and replaced a faulty component that caused the service interruption.
