Palm Springs Aerial Tramway announces special holiday hours and dining options

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will operate with special holiday hours from December 20 through January 4. During this period, the first tram will depart at 8:00 a.m., and the last tram up will be at 8:00 p.m. The final tram down is scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

On December 25 and January 1, visitors can purchase Ride ’n’ Dine tickets, which include admission to the Tram and a holiday meal at Pines Café. These tickets are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with meal service starting at 11:00 a.m. Prices are set at $41 for adults and seniors, and $27.50 for children ages three to ten. The menu offers options such as honey-glazed ham, oven-roasted turkey, or vegetarian lasagna along with various side dishes. Each meal includes a fountain beverage, coffee, or tea. On New Year’s Day, the regular Ride ‘n’ Dine menu will be served.

Peaks Restaurant will offer a prix fixe holiday dining menu on December 25 featuring roasted duck, pan-seared salmon, or filet mignon as main courses, accompanied by seasonal appetizers and side dishes. Dessert choices include salted caramel cheesecake or chocolate caramel crunch. Christmas Day dining begins at 11:00 a.m., priced at $89 for adults and seniors and $39 for children ages three to ten; tram fare is not included in these prices. Reservations are recommended.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway has operated since 1963 and is recognized as the world’s largest rotating tram car system. It transports passengers from Valley Station (2,643 feet elevation) to Mountain Station (8,516 feet elevation) in about ten minutes along Chino Canyon’s cliffs.
