The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway will begin its Annual Snow Guessing Contest on October 1. The contest invites participants to predict the date when the first measurable inch of snow will fall at the Tramway’s Mountain Station, which is located at an elevation of 8,516 feet.
The contest will remain open until the first inch of snow is recorded. The first ten people who correctly guess the snowfall date will each receive four regular admission tickets to the tram and a special gift memento from the organization. If more than ten correct entries are received, winners will be determined based on the earliest postmark dates.
To participate, individuals must write their predicted date on a postcard and mail it to: Snow Guessing Contest, 1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262. Only one entry per postcard is allowed.
“This winter season, gather your friends and family for a snow day, just a 10-minute tram ride away from the desert floor!” stated representatives from Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
