Palm Springs Air Museum’s “Women In Aviation” documentary has been designated an Official Selection for the LA Film Awards and the SoCal Film Awards, while also receiving the Impact DOCS Award of Excellence.

“Our Telly awards have arrived, and we are extremely proud of the team that has been hard at work creating engaging and educational content that spans various platforms!,” the Palm Springs Air Museum posted on Facebook. “And today, we’re thrilled to share that our most recent offering has taken another big leap in the awards circuit!”

Addressing this honor for the “Women in Aviation” documentary, the Palm Springs Air Museum said, “This recognition is a testament to the dedication and passion poured into this project!”

The museum acknowledged Phillip Large and the entire creative team for their diligent efforts in crafting the documentary, which has won the Impact DOCS Excellence, a notable industry award which has open the door to IMDb placement.

Adding to the accolades, the documentary also recently gained Official Selection status in the SoCal Film Awards, according to the Palm Springs Air Museum on social media.

In May, the museum announced that the “Women in Aviation” documentary had been honored with two Telly Awards. The film received both a Silver and Bronze award, recognizing its outstanding quality and impact. The museum expressed deep gratitude to Gail O’Grady, whose involvement in the documentary “elevated it to new heights”. Additionally, the museum recognized the “incredible women aviators,” who shared their stories and thereby “contributed to the film’s success”.

The “Women in Aviation” documentary is slated for broadcast on KVCR PBS according to the following schedule: 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13; 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18; and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19. For those unable to make those dates, the documentary is also accessible on the museum’s YouTube channel.

“A huge round of applause goes out to Phillip Large and our entire creative team for their outstanding efforts in crafting unique and contemporary content that highlights the vital mission of the Palm Springs Air Museum,” the museum said.
