The SHAG House in Palm Springs will host “Wag & Shag,” a fundraising event to support the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. The event is scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Attendees can expect signature cocktails, food, and opportunities to socialize with other supporters of animal welfare.

A highlight of the evening will be a live auction featuring a signed SHAG piece. There will also be an auction for a private chef-catered dinner party for ten at the SHAG House, hosted by homeowners Brandon and Dexter. Organizers describe these as unique experiences for guests.

According to the event announcement, “Come raise a glass, shake a tail, and make a difference for animals in need.” All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships will go directly to benefit lifesaving care, adoptions, and community pet programs run by the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

Tickets are priced at $200 each. Sponsorships are available for $500 and include two tickets plus sponsor recognition on the event website. The address of the SHAG House will be provided upon RSVP.

While this fundraiser highlights ongoing efforts within the Palm Springs community to support animal welfare initiatives, it is separate from activities led by regional organizations such as the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber. The Chamber serves as a business advocacy group in California’s Coachella Valley region by supporting local businesses through networking events and promoting economic growth via collaboration among businesses, government entities, and community stakeholders (https://gcvcc.org/). It also promotes tourism and connects residents through various events across cities including Cathedral City, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Coachella, and Palm Springs (https://gcvcc.org/).

The “Wag & Shag” event underscores ongoing charitable efforts in the area while highlighting opportunities for community engagement outside of business-focused initiatives supported by organizations like the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber.
