The organization has planned four events, the first being the second annual chocolate and champagne soirée and silent auction which will be held on Wednesday, April 10th at Boozehounds Palm Springs.

Saturday April 27 will be the third annual PRO on the move: walk, ride, or roll, available at several locations. Charity bingo at the barracks will run from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 in Cathedral City.

Finally, an educational lecture series on the basics of Parkinson’s will run on April 3 and April 10 at the Joslyn Senior Center.

“Every year we look forward to celebrating our amazing Parkinson’s community and increasing our public visibility to call attention to the fastest growing neurological condition in the world,” Eileen Lynch, PRO’s Executive Director, said. “This is a crucial multi-prong effort to raise awareness, gather as a community, and raise funds to support PRO’s completely free emotional and practical resources for people with Parkinson’s and caregivers.”

The Parkinson’s Resource Organization is an advocacy organization dedicated to “improving the quality of life for families and individuals affected by Parkinson’s disease through education, support, and practical resources,” according to their website. Founded in 1990, their current executive director is Eileen Lynch.
