Patrick Evans, Chief Meteorologist for KESQ News Channel 3, was honored as the Volunteer of the Year in the Fourth Supervisorial District by Supervisor V. Manuel Perez. This recognition is part of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors’ celebration of Volunteer Appreciation Month.

Evans traveled to Riverside to receive the award after presenting the morning weather forecast. His dedication to community service was highlighted by Supervisor Perez, who praised his involvement over the 20 years they have known each other.

“I am very proud to announce and honor and present the Fourth District Volunteer of the Year Award to Mr. Patrick Evans,” Supervisor Perez stated. Perez commended Evans for his consistent presence at events throughout the Coachella Valley, noting his selflessness and commitment.

In his acceptance, Evans acknowledged his extensive work with nonprofits in the Coachella Valley, where he has resided for 23 years. “I have the privilege of working with a lot of different nonprofits throughout the Coachella Valley,” Evans said. He expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the advantage his visibility in his profession offers in supporting various organizations.

Supervisor V. Manuel Perez, who represents the Fourth Supervisorial District, awarded Evans a proclamation highlighting his contributions. The 4th District encompasses a vast area of eastern Riverside County.
