Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a serious traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on October 4, 2025, at approximately 12:53 a.m. The incident occurred near Dexter Avenue and 11th Street in Lake Elsinore.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that the driver had already taken the injured pedestrian to the hospital using their own vehicle. Deputies then went to the hospital to speak with both individuals involved.
The Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic Team took over the investigation. According to authorities, “The driver of the vehicle was cooperative with the investigation, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.”
On October 5, deputies were informed that the pedestrian had died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
“This is an ongoing investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time. The case will be submitted to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office for review at a later time,” according to officials.
