Pedestrian killed in traffic collision in Norco; investigation ongoing

On the night of November 28, 2025, a fatal traffic collision occurred at Hamner Avenue and Citrus Street in Norco. Deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene at approximately 9:24 p.m. after reports of a major-injury incident involving a pedestrian and two vehicles.

Upon arrival, deputies found the pedestrian in the roadway with severe injuries. They provided medical assistance, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The names of those involved have not been released as authorities are notifying next of kin.

The Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station took over the investigation. Both drivers involved remained at the location and are cooperating with law enforcement. Authorities stated that “the cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.”

To collect evidence and process the area, Hamner Avenue between Citrus Street and Schleisman Avenue was temporarily closed.
