Perris resident dies following incident on I-215

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the death of Jorge Sagrero, a 42-year-old resident of Perris, California. The incident occurred on June 18, 2025, with Mr. Sagrero passing away at Riverside University Health Systems in Moreno Valley.

According to the coroner’s report, the time of death was recorded at 4:22 a.m. The location of injury was identified as the southbound I-215 roadway, approximately 3,621 feet south of Ramona Expressway in Perris.

The California Highway Patrol – Riverside is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Sagrero’s death under investigation number 9840-2025-03284. The date and time of injury remain unspecified.
