Police investigate murder in Rancho Mirage, no suspect identified

A 43-year-old man identified as Alejandro Suarez was killed in Rancho Mirage on June 16. 

Deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station answered a 911 call at 10:17 p.m. pertaining to a shooting on the 70200 block of Highway 111. When they arrived, the deputies found Suarez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 

Suarez was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

“On June 16, 2022, at 10:17 p.m., deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a shooting on the 70200 block of Highway 111, in Rancho Mirage,” Riverside County Deputy Ed Baeza said a release from the Sheriff’s Department. “Upon arriving, deputies located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The male victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel. The victim was identified as Alejandro Suarez, a 43-year-old male resident of Rancho Mirage.”

Crime scene workers are attempting to find the perpetrator, but deputies have not yet found a suspect in the case. The investigation has been taken on by the Central Homicide Unit.
