Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) has introduced a new initiative called the Stay & Play Visitor Pass Program, allowing individuals to explore the airport without purchasing a plane ticket. The program aims to recreate the experience of reuniting with loved ones at the gate, offering heartfelt farewells and quality time before departure.

Visitors can obtain a free Stay & Play pass by completing a simple online application up to seven days in advance. Once approved, visitors will receive a digital pass via email, which, when presented with a TSA-approved ID, grants access to the airport’s secure area. It is important to note that passes are valid for a specific date and time and visitors must leave the secure area by the end of the day.

While the Stay & Play program is a unique opportunity for non-travelers to experience the airport, priority will be given to ticketed passengers to ensure efficient operations. During peak hours, visitor passes may be limited or temporarily unavailable to expedite screenings for departing passengers.

Security regulations for Stay & Play visitors are the same as those for passengers, ensuring a safe environment for everyone. However, visitors are not allowed to bring luggage or items prohibited by the TSA. Additionally, they will only have access to the general security line and not the TSA Pre-Check or CLEAR lines.

Harry Barrett, Jr., Executive Director of Aviation, expressed the airport’s excitement about the program, stating, “We’re not just opening our doors; we’re inviting the community to experience the unique outdoor atmosphere of Palm Springs International Airport, witness exciting changes, and reconnect with something people truly enjoy.” The airport aims to create a world-class transportation hub that reflects the warmth and inclusiveness of the Palm Springs community.

The Stay & Play program is part of Palm Springs International Airport’s commitment to providing outstanding services and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for travelers and their companions.
