PSPD Detectives Seek Community Assistance Identifying Suspect Involved in Bar Assault

The Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) is seeking the assistance of the community in identifying a suspect involved in an assault that took place at a local bar on May 20, 2023. The department has released images of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

The incident occurred shortly after 10:15 PM at a bar located on the 200 Block of N. Palm Canyon Drive. Officers quickly responded to the scene and found the victim, who had suffered significant injuries and required surgery. The victim provided information that he had been attacked by an individual, and now the authorities are working diligently to locate and apprehend the responsible party.

In their efforts to identify the suspect, PSPD officers have obtained surveillance footage from local businesses. The individual in question is described as a heavy-set Hispanic and/or white male, with short dark hair and wearing reading glasses. He was seen wearing a distinctive purple Lakers jersey during the assault, and he has distinct tattoos around both of his shoulders.
