Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa at Indian Wells has completed a multi-million-dollar reinvestment program, resulting in significant upgrades across the property. The 560-room resort underwent a comprehensive transformation, including refreshed public areas, meeting rooms, ballrooms, and foyers. New features include pickleball courts, a redesigned front desk and lobby, and the upcoming opening of Seven Olive, a modern gastropub. Topgolf Swing Suites will also debut as part of the renovation.

The redesign was led by Bishop Pass, an interior design firm based in Los Angeles. The project features custom artwork and sculptures from artists such as Brian Peters, Valero Doval, and Ashley Nardone. These installations use various materials to reflect the landscape of the Coachella Valley.

“By capturing the essence of the desert, this redesign embodies what the Renaissance brand stands for today, connecting guests to the destination and inspiring a sense of discovery,” said Tim Pyne, general manager. “From enhanced digital experiences to refreshed public and meeting spaces, every change has been thoughtfully considered to create an even more seamless and memorable experience for our visitors.”

Outdoor amenities have been updated with new poolside cabanas featuring modular furnishings and smart TVs. Four pickleball courts have been added. The Glo Patio is being reimagined with contemporary furnishings in navy tones accented by taupe and brown.

In public spaces, new art installations are designed to represent elements of the desert environment. The lobby now features wire mesh sculptures that evoke rocky hills and stacked cairn sculptures made from wood. Other artistic additions include abstract ceramic pieces in both botanical motifs and geometric designs.

Meeting rooms have also been renovated with handcrafted ceramic pieces inspired by desert flora. New digital reader boards have been installed for easier navigation between event spaces.

Seven Olive gastropub will offer modern cuisine alongside craft cocktails when it opens soon. Adjacent Topgolf Swing Suites will allow guests to play virtual courses while enjoying food from Seven Olive.

The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa at Indian Wells includes 560 guest rooms on 23 acres of Mediterranean-inspired grounds. It offers gaming lounges, spa services, dining venues, fitness facilities, event spaces, pickleball courts, Topgolf Swing Suites, and a sandy beach pool with cabanas.
