Renova Energy has announced the appointment of Matthew De La Torre as its new Chief Sales Officer for both the California and Arizona regions. With a 12-year tenure at Renova Energy, De La Torre brings considerable experience to strengthen the company’s position in the clean energy sector.

Vincent Battaglia, founder and CEO of Renova Energy, praised De La Torre in a press release, saying, “Matthew is proof that if we believe we’re defined by what we want to bring to the table, then anything and everything under the sun is possible. From his humble beginnings as a highly educated Civil Engineer to building an Engineering Department complete with highly skilled technicians, Matthew is a living Energy Renaissance Man.”

De La Torre first joined Renova Energy in 2009, according to the press release. After a brief hiatus between 2013 and 2015, he returned to lead multiple departments including IT and engineering. He also established partnerships with solar manufacturers such as Maxeon, Tesla and Meyer Burger, thereby expanding Renova Energy’s product portfolio.

The press release further highlighted De La Torre’s expertise in solar financing and his background in civil engineering and technology as key factors leading to his appointment as head of the company’s sales strategy.

Renova Energy was founded in 2006 and is a provider of renewable energy solutions according to its website. The company specializes in rooftop solar and battery storage. With a valuation exceeding $70 million, Renova employs more than 300 people.

Judge decides Larin Garcia should be sentenced to death for killing four in Palm Springs

Last week, the Palm Springs Police Department commemorated Officer Gale Gene Eldridge, a member of their force who was tragically killed by an armed robber in 1961. Eldridge is one of four officers from the Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
