On July 24, 2025, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station conducted a retail theft operation in collaboration with Loss Prevention personnel at various retail locations in Perris. The initiative aimed to tackle retail theft and ensure safety for businesses and shoppers. Several individuals were observed stealing merchandise and were arrested without incident.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its ongoing commitment to addressing theft-related crimes affecting local businesses and the community. Legislative efforts such as Proposition 36 support these operations, highlighting that those who commit retail theft face arrest and prosecution. These initiatives aim to deter organized retail crime while promoting accountability and rehabilitation within legal frameworks.
