On October 8, 2025, the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Investigation Bureau, in collaboration with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation parole and the Riverside County Probation Department, conducted compliance checks on registered sex offenders in Moreno Valley. These checks were carried out under California Penal Code Section 290 to confirm that registrants were meeting their legal obligations.

Officers visited 61 locations and checked a total of 115 registrants. During this operation, 16 individuals were arrested for various violations including parole and probation breaches, drug offenses, and possession of child sexual abuse material. All those arrested were taken into custody without incident and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
