Riverside County Coroner identifies Ivy Fitzgerald in Morongo Valley incident

The Riverside Sheriff’s Office announced on Apr. 26 the death of Ivy Fitzgerald, a 67-year-old resident of Joshua Tree, California. Fitzgerald died at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs following injuries sustained earlier that day.

According to the press release, Fitzgerald was injured at approximately 2:20 p.m. on April 24 at the intersection of CA-62 and Rose Eden Drive in Morongo Valley. She was pronounced dead at Desert Regional Medical Center at 3:19 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol – Morongo Basin Station is investigating the incident under case number 260424BS0238. The coroner’s office confirmed that next of kin have been notified.

Authorities advise that all inquiries regarding this case should be directed to the investigating agency.
