The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 1 that Francisco Quintana-Salazar, a 32-year-old resident of Vista, California, died following an incident on Rainbow Canyon Road near Temecula. The death occurred at approximately 12:52 p.m. on March 31.
Authorities said Quintana-Salazar sustained fatal injuries at about 12:35 p.m. the same day in the area of Rainbow Canyon Road, roughly one and a half miles north of Rainbow Valley Boulevard. The California Highway Patrol – Temecula is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to officials, next of kin have been notified. Both the location of injury and death were reported as being along the same stretch of roadway in Temecula.
