Riverside County Coroner identifies woman killed on Seminole Drive in Cabazon

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office announced on Mar. 16 that Shaundeen Boniface, a 46-year-old woman from Banning, died following an incident on Seminole Drive in Cabazon. The coroner’s report states that Boniface was injured at approximately 9:32 p.m. on March 15 and was pronounced dead at the scene about half an hour later.

The case is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol – San Gorgonio, according to the official release. The incident occurred on the eastbound side of Seminole Drive, roughly 600 feet east of Morongo Trail for the injury location and about 200 feet east for the location where Boniface was pronounced deceased.

Authorities have notified next of kin. No further details regarding the circumstances of the incident were provided in the coroner’s press release.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office advises those seeking more information to contact the investigating agency directly.

This case highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to investigate roadway incidents and ensure public safety.
