The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Norco Substation, has announced it will conduct a DUI Saturation Enforcement Operation in the city of Norco on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The operation is scheduled to take place from 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., focusing on drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs and promoting overall traffic safety within Norco city limits.
The department emphasized that impaired driving can result not only from alcohol but also from certain prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs. They advised drivers to follow directions for use and read warning labels about driving. “While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal,” the department stated.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, individuals charged with a first-time DUI may face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties as well as a suspended license. “The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that driving under the influence is not only illegal, but also extremely dangerous,” officials said.
Funding for this enforcement program comes from a grant provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
