On July 17, 2025, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team and Robbery Burglary Suppression Team, along with loss prevention personnel, conducted a retail theft operation in the 1800 block of Perris Boulevard in Perris. The operation aimed to address retail theft and ensure safety for businesses and shoppers. Several individuals were observed stealing merchandise and were arrested without incident.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the city of Perris emphasize their commitment to tackling theft-related crimes affecting local businesses and the community. Retail theft operations are supported by legislative efforts like Proposition 36. Individuals committing retail theft face arrest and prosecution.
