The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Norco Substation, is set to conduct a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Saturation Enforcement Operation. This operation will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., within the city limits of Norco, California.
The initiative aims to address impaired driving due to alcohol and drugs and ensure overall traffic safety. The Sheriff’s Office emphasizes that impaired driving can result not only from alcohol but also from certain prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs. It advises drivers to adhere strictly to usage directions and heed warning labels regarding driving. Despite the legality of medicinal and recreational marijuana, driving under its influence remains illegal.
Those caught driving while impaired may face severe consequences, including an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties for a first-time DUI offense and a suspended license.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office stresses that driving under the influence is both illegal and extremely dangerous.
This program receives funding through a grant provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety via the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
