Riverside man dies after incident in Perris ditch

A 55-year-old Riverside resident, Kevin Silvestri, was pronounced dead on October 2, 2025. According to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, Silvestri died at 5:55 p.m., just four minutes after sustaining injuries in a ditch next to the roadway on Goetz Road, approximately 795 feet south of Mapes Road in Perris.

The incident is being investigated by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office – Perris Station under investigation number PE252740114. The coroner has notified Silvestri’s next of kin.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading to Silvestri’s death. “Refer all inquiries to investigating agency,” officials stated.
