A 40-year-old man from Winchester, California, died following an incident on December 5, 2025. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Cody McPhail.
According to official information, McPhail sustained injuries at approximately 5:21 p.m. on Magnolia Avenue, about 40 feet west of Polk Street in Riverside. He was later pronounced dead at Riverside Community Hospital at 6:01 p.m. the same day.
The Riverside Police Department is conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. The case number for this investigation is 250031777.
