Riverside man dies after traffic incident at Chicago Ave and 12th Street

Chibeza Nyirenda Jr., a 28-year-old resident of Riverside, California, died on November 12, 2025. According to the Riverside County Coroner’s office, Nyirenda was injured at approximately 4:19 p.m. at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and 12th Street in Riverside. He was transported to Riverside Community Hospital at 4445 Magnolia Avenue, where he was pronounced dead at 4:55 p.m.

The Riverside Police Department is conducting the investigation under case number 2500-29732. The coroner’s office has notified Nyirenda’s next of kin and directed all further inquiries to the investigating agency.
