Riverside Sheriff’s Office releases details on death of infant from Perris

The Riverside Sheriff’s Office announced on Mar. 30 the death of Leon Edgington Morales, a three-month-old male resident of Perris, California. The incident occurred on Mar. 29, with the injury reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. and death pronounced at Riverside University Health Systems at 8:10 p.m.

Authorities say the injury took place on the northbound Interstate 215 Freeway, south of Eucalyptus Avenue in Riverside. The California Highway Patrol – Riverside is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to officials, next of kin have been notified about Edgington Morales’s passing. No further details regarding the cause or nature of injuries were provided in this release.

The sheriff’s office said that for additional information about this case, inquiries should be directed to the investigating agency.
