SoCalGas has introduced a Restaurant Energy Efficiency Starter Kit aimed at helping restaurant owners reduce energy use and operational costs. The kit includes several items designed to improve efficiency in commercial kitchens.

Among the featured products is a 10-inch Turbo Pot Aluminum Frying Pan, which is built for better heat distribution to help save energy during cooking. Other components of the kit are a pre-rinse spray valve with a flow rate of 0.68 gallons per minute, a swivel kitchen aerator at 1.5 GPM, and a bathroom aerator at 1.0 GPM. The package also contains two Tundra FMP gas valve handles made from chrome-plated metal, a Taylor Classic instant-read pocket thermometer, and a three-foot section of pipe insulation.

The materials included come with manufacturer installation instructions and guides. SoCalGas notes that it is not responsible for installations, as these are managed by the product manufacturers.

Restaurant operators interested in additional support can access no-cost energy surveys, business rebates, and more energy-saving resources through SoCalGas’s website at https://www.socalgas.com/BusinessRebates.
