Palm Springs, CA – With spring break just around the corner, Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is preparing for an influx of travelers. The airport is urging all passengers to heed their advice and arrive at least 2 hours before their departure time to kick off their vacation stress-free.

According to PSP, “All passengers should arrive to PSP at least 2 hours before their flight’s departure time, regardless of whether they are checking baggage, carrying on, or using expedited services like CLEAR or TSA PreCheck. This leaves plenty of time to check bags, get through security, and arrive at the gate comfortably.”

The airport is anticipating peak periods from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with potential security wait times exceeding 30 minutes during this busy time. Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly, noting that these hours are expected to be the busiest.

Parking is expected to be in high demand, with main parking lots available at $20 per day and an overflow lot on Kirk Douglas Way priced at $18 per day for credit card users. Additionally, a shuttle service will be provided to and from the terminal for the convenience of travelers utilizing the overflow lot.

For those looking to avoid parking challenges, PSP recommends alternative transportation options such as ride-sharing services, taxis, or public transportation. This not only offers convenience but also aids in reducing parking demand, especially during peak travel times.

To stay updated on essential travel information, passengers are encouraged to visit flyPSP.com before their trip. This will provide real-time updates on parking availability, security wait times, flight statuses, and more, ensuring a smoother journey through the airport.

Passengers are also reminded to plan ahead for dining options, with grab-and-go choices readily available for convenience. PSP continues to undergo construction affecting some food and retail options during their concessions refresh, and travelers are advised to be prepared for any changes.

In line with airport security measures, travelers are urged to familiarize themselves with TSA guidelines, including the 3-1-1 Rule for carry-on liquids, gels, and aerosols, to expedite the security screening process.

Palm Springs International Airport remains committed to providing a pleasant and efficient travel experience during the bustling spring break period. For further assistance and updates, passengers are encouraged to visit flyPSP.com.
