Jeff Levine, 2021-2022 chairman of the board for the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce, died unexpectedly on Monday, the Chamber announced in a Facebook post the following day.
An extremely active member who consistently gave back to the community, Levine recently spoke at an event for the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce (GCVCC). Levine is a recent cancer survivor who leaves behind a wife and three daughters, the Facebook post said.
"Jeff was a champion of our business community, a devoted leader within the Chamber and a friend of many across the Coachella Valley. Jeff's service to the Chamber extends far beyond this year. He served as the 2020-2021 chairman of the board and has served among the Chamber's executive leadership team since GCVCC's inception in 2016-2017," the Chamber said on Facebook.
The Chamber also recalled how Levine dedicated his time and talent to multiple committees and served as the board chair for the Chamber's Desert Advertising Federation.
"Jeff was a phenomenal person, professional, friend and family man," the Chamber post also said. "The loss we feel as a staff and board is incredibly deep. The GCVCC Board of Directors and its Executive Board leadership remain strong in their resolve to continue leading with heart and commitment and in honor of our board colleague."
According to a News Channel 3 KESQ article, Levine was a longtime Indio resident who was active in the business community up until his unfortunate passing. Last week, Levine spoke at Cathedral City's State of the City address, which was hosted by GCVCC. He assisted local clients with advertising and marketing for over 25 years, KESQ said.
