Following a search of his home on Tuesday, a Desert Hot Springs man was charged as part of an investigation into the distribution of child porn, the city's police department reported on Facebook.

On Tuesday, Desert Hot Springs Police Department with assistance from the Riverside County Child Exploitation Team executed a search warrant at a Flora Avenue residence as part of an investigation into the possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse material on the internet. The property search uncovered child pornography materials and resulted in the arrest of 21-year-old Victor Lascano, of Desert Hot Springs, police said.

"Victor Lascano, 21, of Desert Hot Springs was placed under arrest in connection with the case and was booked into the Riverside County Jail for charges including violations of Penal Code 311.11(a) —Possession of Obscene Matter and PC 311.11(c)(1) — Possession of Obscene Matter of 600 images," according to the DHSPD.

Although the press release does not explicitly specify what the warrant uncovered, Lascano's charges suggest a large amount of child pornography materials were allegedly found.

Lascano has been booked into the Riverside County Jail, with his bail set at $150,000.
