Acrisure Arena is unveiling its first lineup of concerts with a star-studded schedule including the Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Jimmy Buffett, Maroon 5 and Grupo Firme.

The concerts are scheduled to take place when the venue opens in December, with The Doobie Brothers playing the first-ever show on Dec. 15 and the Eagles playing at the official Grand Opening Celebration on Jan. 18, 2023.

Performances will also include Grupo Firme on Dec. 15 and Maroon 5 on New Year’s Eve, arena officials said in a recent news release. No date has been set for Jimmy Buffett.

“The programming team at Acrisure Arena is giving Riverside County, Coachella Valley, and all of Southern California a new destination for the biggest concerts with today’s announcement of these five superstar shows,” Tim Leiweke, chairman and CEO of the Oak View Group, said in the release. “We are excited to go on sale over the coming weeks as we move toward our December opening."

Tickets will go on sale for the Grupo Firme performance at 10 a.m. Friday on Ticketmaster, with ticket sale dates to be announced for other shows; the release said.

Arena officials also announced plans for a Platinum Ticket Sweepstakes, the release said. One winner will receive a pair of tickets to every ticketed event at the arena for one year, a prize valued at $10,000

The arena will also host the “Stand Together Music Series,” with the goal of bringing people together to drive change; the release said. The series will be sponsored by Stand Together, one of eight founding partners of the arena.

Acrisure Arena was built at a cost of more than $300 million and will serve as the home of the Coachella Valley Firebirds, the team's website said in July. The Firebirds are an  American Hockey League squad affiliated with the NHL’s Seattle Kraken. The facility can seat more than 11,000 for hockey and concerts.
