American singer and songwriter John Mayer won't have to defy gravity, maybe just sing it when he takes his solo acoustic tour to Palm Desert at Acrisure Arena this spring.

When Mayer rocks the arena on April 6, he'll bring a wide spectrum of music, including old songs like "Gravity", newer songs and never-before-introduced songs to test out on fans, according to the artist on Twitter.

"Solo Tour 2023. Just like the early days. I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing - all on acoustic, electric and piano. Hope to see you there…" Mayer tweeted.

Twenty years in the making, this solo acoustic tour is a first for Mayer, featuring not only acoustic guitar but special performances on piano and electric guitar, according to Acrisure Arena.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3.and can be purchased on Mayer's website: johnmayer.com.

For the older songs that may be part of his lineup, Mayer will draw from a plethora of hits such as "New Light", "Love on the Weekend", "Heartbreak Warfare", "Daughters", "Your Body Is a Wonderland" and much more, the arena said. Besides Mayer's performance, fans will be treated to opening artists Lizzy McAlpine, Alec Benjamin and a yet-to-be-named special guest.

According to Rolling Stone, 2023 will be a busy year for Mayer when it comes to tours. He also will be on the road for Dead and Company: The Final Tour this summer, and he'll be taking part in the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert scheduled for March 9 in New York.
