The East Valley Republican Women Patriots, reportedly the largest group of its kind in the nation with more than 1,600 members, hosts a movie screening every Friday.

According to the East Valley Republican Women Patriots website, on Friday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m., the organization will show “Cartelville, USA," a documentary investigating drug cartels that are operating in the southern California desert. Visitors can attend the screening by visiting the group at 73995 El Paseo, Palm Desert, California, during the scheduled showtime.

“Every Friday is to inform people about what is happening in our country because nothing happens unless people know,” East Valley Republican Women Patriots President Joy Miedecke told Coachella Valley Times. “All of our films are documentaries and they all go to the heart of what’s happening in today’s world.”

The cost of admission is $10 and includes popcorn and a drink. Those interested in attending can call 760-771-9771 for reservations.

According to RealClear Politics, "Cartelville, USA" is produced by the Daily Caller and Jorge Ventura. The documentary is about small, rural southern California desert towns that have been changed by Mexican and international drug and human-trafficking cartels.

According to its website, East Valley Republican Women are “working to take back California. EVRWP will help you to get involved in taking back your California community, state and country. We will not rest till our schools and communities are solidly based in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Right and the Declaration of Independence.”
