Though New York City has a key role in legendary rock band KISS' last hoorah, the Greater Palm Springs area also will have an opportunity to pay final tribute to this approximately 50-year-old global phenomenon in November.

That's when the band's "End of the Road" tour comes to Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on Nov. 1, the venue's Twitter announcement said on Wednesday.

Ticket sales will launch at 10 a.m. March 10 on Ticketmaster, according to Acrisure Arena, the newly constructed home of American Hockey League's Coachella Valley Firebirds and venue for many star-studded performances as well.

According to the band's website, the "End of the Road" tour is its final tour, and the Acrisure Arena performance will be part of the final 50 shows. Remembering its roots, the band is planning to celebrate its grand finale with an epic show in New York City.

"New York City has been a part of our ethos and story for more than four decades, so we felt it fitting to culminate our career on stage at Madison Square Garden," the band's website said. "KISS was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago. It will be a privilege and honor to finish touring at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we first started!"

According to Rolling Stone, that final concert was supposed to happen approximately three years ago on July 17, 2021. Then COVID-19 struck and postponements followed, impacting much of the final tour and, of course, that final show. Now this means an opportunity for fans in the Greater Palm Springs area to hear the hits live one more time through Ticketmaster.
