Ticket sales launch this week for a new rock music festival that promises to deliver an legendary lineup of metal bands to Coachella Valley, Los Angeles-based promoter, Goldenvoice, said on Facebook.

The three-day Power Trip festival is set for Oct. 6-8 and kicks off with Gun N' Roses and Iron Maiden on Friday, followed by AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne on Saturday, and concluding with Metallica and Tool on Sunday. The venue is Empire Polo Club, located at 81800 51st Ave. in Indio, according to Facebook.

The Power Trip festival is described as the newest music festival to hit Coachella Valley, which according to the company website is already known for the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and many others.

Fans who don't want to miss out on the three-days of rock are urged to register now at this link for first access to tickets starting Thursday, April 6, at 10 a.m. For those traveling to see the show, hotel and VIP packages will be available at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, according to Power Trip's Facebook page. General admission tickets start at $599 and fees, for which the fan will get a single wristband for three days, the link said.

According to Forbes, Power Trip may hit a familiar note with metal fans as this festival started in 2016 with the name Desert Trip before its current rebranding. But already Power Trip is showing that it's not a carbon copy, with the return of Ozzy Osbourne back into the tour scene after previously announcing a health-related retirement, Forbes said. Classic metal fans will find the festival leading the pack with its assortment of metal celebs but it's also billed as a revival of old school rock and metal, the article said.

Some of the other venues associated with Goldenvoice include the Fonda Theatre and El Rey in Los Angeles, Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, the company website said.
