Palm Springs gears up for lip sync battle fundraiser

The Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs (ONE-PS) is bringing an exciting Lip Sync Battle to the Palm Springs Cultural Center on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 3 PM. The event aims to raise funds for the Palm Springs Parks and Recreation Youth Engagement Programs and ONE-PS New Neighborhood Development. Contestants from city-wide organizations will take the stage in a hilarious and high-energy competition.

According to the City of Palm Springs, the Lip Sync Battle will provide an afternoon of "hilarious high-energy" performances. Representatives from various organizations, including the PS Police, PS Fire, LGBTQ Center, PS Office of Neighborhoods & Special Programs, Mizell Senior Center, PS Programs Compliance, The Art Of Pride, PS Unified Schools, PS Pride, and DAP Health, will participate in the engaging competition. A diverse panel of judges, including a talented singer, a renowned Drag Personality, representatives from the PS Library and Main Street, and other prominent individuals, will evaluate the performances.

ONE-PS is an organization comprised of representatives from recognized neighborhood organizations in Palm Springs. The organization holds monthly gatherings to discuss issues affecting residents and neighborhood interests. The primary goal is to promote the sharing of information and the exchange of ideas to improve processes, communication, and outcomes, as well as nurture the creation of innovative programs or services.

Tickets for the lip-sync battle are available for purchase. Standard admission starts at $40.00, while VIP tickets are priced at $75.00. A 5-pack of tickets can be purchased for $175.00. The event offers free parking, and doors open at 2:30 PM at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. It promises to be a fun-filled and entertaining afternoon while supporting important youth programs in Palm Springs.
