In a gesture that has become a holiday tradition over the years, Agua Caliente Casinos has donated more than 300 gifts to Shelter From The Storm’s Angel Tree Toy Drop. Casino employees delivered the Christmas presents to various Shelter From The Storm locations across Coachella Valley.

Shelter From The Storm, according to its website, is the only shelter-based provider of emergency and additional services for victims of domestic violence in Coachella Valley. Each year, it provides assistance to over 1,500 women and children. Its Community Counseling Center located in Palm Desert caters to more than 300 adult and child victims annually.

A press release from Agua Caliente Casinos revealed that for the past 15 years, every Christmas sees nearly 3,000 casino employees from different departments come together to purchase and deliver toys and other gifts for Shelter From The Storm clients. This year, each Angel Tree client was granted three to four wishes.

Angelina Coe, executive director of Shelter From The Storm, expressed her gratitude in the press release. "We are humbled and honored to continue to be the beneficiary charity of the Aqua Caliente Cares holiday gift drive/Angel Tree," said Coe. She further added that since becoming a beneficiary, the casinos have provided over 3,000 gifts for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Robin Stone, VP of human resources at Agua Caliente Casinos, emphasized their long-standing partnership with Shelter From The Storm in the press release. "The partnership we have established with Shelter From The Storm over the past 15 years extends the possibility of a bright future and hope for their clients," said Stone.
