The RJ concourse at Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is set to be renamed the Agua Caliente Concourse, following a sponsorship agreement between the airport and Agua Caliente Casinos. The new name is anticipated to become official in early 2024.

A press release issued jointly by the City of Palm Springs and Agua Caliente Casinos reveals that PSP, which is owned and operated by the City of Palm Springs, is situated on the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation. In 2022, the airport handled nearly three million passengers who arrived or departed on over 16,250 commercial flights from 12 airlines. As the only airport providing commercial service in the Coachella Valley and being the nearest airport to Joshua Tree National Park, its passenger count broke a record last year. Another record-breaking year is projected for 2023.

The PSP website indicates that the airport has only two concourses: the Sonny Bono Concourse, hosting Gates 4-11, and the newly renamed Agua Caliente Concourse, accommodating Gates 12-20.

The joint press release further explains that a three-year partnership between PSP and Agua Caliente Casinos encompasses naming rights to the RJ Concourse, activation space, and other advertising opportunities within the concourse and other areas of the airport. To facilitate this deal, PSP and Agua Caliente Casinos collaborated with FUSE Connect, an airport advertising partnership development firm. FUSE will continue assisting both parties in creating an immersive experience for passengers.

"For over 20 years, Agua Caliente Casinos has been the ultimate Coachella Valley destination for gaming and entertainment. This incredible partnership with Palm Springs International Airport allows us to make an even greater first impression and share more about everything Agua from the moment travelers enter the airport," said Saverio R. Scheri III, Chief Operating Officer of Agua Caliente Casinos.

"Every day, our team is working to transform Palm Springs International Airport into an innovative, industry-leading facility. This announcement is just one of the many 'firsts' PSP hopes to achieve. Our partnership with Fuse Connect has led to this historic agreement, and we’re excited about our future collaboration with Agua Caliente Casinos," stated Harry Barrett, Executive Director of Aviation at PSP.
