The City of Rancho Mirage Cultural Commission has unveiled plans for the 2024 Rancho Mirage Artists Studio Tour and Pop-Up Gallery, extending an invitation to local visual artists and craftspeople to display and sell their work during the event.

According to a statement released by the City of Rancho Mirage on Facebook, the Pop-Up Gallery is scheduled for March 23, 2024, at the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory located at 71-100 Highway 111. The announcement further indicated that artists unable to attend in person have the option to exhibit their work in an online gallery. This digital platform will be accessible from March 23 through May 31 via the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory website. The deadline for registration is January 15.

As per the commission's call for local artists, there are no fees associated with entering artwork in the Pop-Up Gallery and Studio Tour. Additionally, the city does not demand a commission on any artwork sold during the event. Artists are permitted to submit between three to five photos for consideration into the show. The committee will contact selected artists with additional details by January 22.

In line with the commission's guidelines for participation, two primary requirements have been stipulated. Firstly, an entrant must either reside in Rancho Mirage or have their studio located within its boundaries. Secondly, submissions must include high-resolution photos of their artwork. Detailed specifications can be found on the city’s Pop-Up Gallery web page.

"The opportunity to visit the special spaces where our community’s artists live and work is a highlight of the cultural event calendar each year. In 2024, we hope to feature even more artists than ever before, setting the stage for our best Artists Studio Tour yet," said Sally Traidman, chair of the City of Rancho Mirage Cultural Commission.
