The Desert Recreation District has announced that it will be hosting a free Coronado Bayshore Bikeway Coastal Ride this month, inviting young people aged between 10 and 17 to participate.

In a post by the Desert Recreation District, it was stated that the trip is scheduled for January 15. The district also highlighted that there would be a mandatory meetup on January 11 at 3:30 p.m., although the location for this meeting has yet to be disclosed.

The district confirmed that bikes, helmets, transportation, and lunch would all be provided.

The district's website further detailed the itinerary for the day: Participants are expected to depart from Indio Community Center at 8 a.m.; they will then arrive at Coronado Bayshore Bikeway and ride alongside Silver Strand via Coronado Bayshore Bikeway; lunch will be taken at a park; finally, participants should expect to return to Indio Community Center by 4 p.m.

The district extended an invitation in its event announcement for volunteers and biking enthusiasts to join them on this ride. For more information regarding this event, Sarah Baltazar can be contacted at (760)347-3484 or via e-mail at outdoorfun@drd.us.com.
