Palm Springs Air Museum: ‘A huge thank you to Concorde Battery Corporation for powering our mission’

The Palm Springs Air Museum (PSAM) has announced the receipt of a generous donation from Concorde Battery Corporation, valued at $14,980. The donation comprises lead-acid batteries, a product that Concorde specializes in for aircraft maintenance. This contribution will significantly aid PSAM in its mission to preserve aviation history.

Expressing gratitude for the donation, PSAM stated on an Instagram post dated Jan. 13: "A huge thank you to @concordebatterycorp for powering our mission and helping us soar to new heights! We're thrilled to announce that they are generously donating $14,980.00 worth of batteries to the museum! The commitment to preserving aviation history and supporting our endeavors is truly commendable." In the same post, PSAM acknowledged Concorde's pioneering role in the industry: "A trailblazer in the industry, Concorde is the first battery company whose product was approved for use on the iconic F-117. We're honored to have their support."

The PSAM is committed to preserving, showcasing, and flying aircraft from World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War and the Global War on Terror. A significant portion of their collection is maintained in "flyable condition," as per information available on their website. Alongside this, PSAM also curates temporary and permanent exhibits comprising artifacts, library documents and artwork that encapsulate American aviation history. Notably, it houses one of the world’s largest collections of static and flyable aircraft from World War II.
