The City of Palm Springs is set to install the 465th star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars. This honor will be bestowed upon Susan Stein, the creative producer and director of Fashion Week El Paseo and Fashion/Scene editor of Palm Springs Life Magazine.

A press release from the City of Palm Springs revealed that Stein will be recognized with a star in the Civic/Pioneer category. The unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place at Downtown Palm Springs Park on January 30, 2024, at 2 p.m., and it is open to all members of the public.

The same press release credits Stein for the significant growth of Fashion Week El Paseo. In 2022, this event attracted more than 13,500 attendees, earning it recognition as one of the "biggest fashion events on the West Coast." Apart from her work with Fashion Week El Paseo, Stein owns a fashion and style consulting firm named Susan Stein Style. Her extensive career in fashion includes stints at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, Bloomingdale’s, and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
